Jeannette Korten started alpine racing with the Guthega Ski Team where she was once coached by former Olympian Jacqui Cowderoy and trained alongside teammate Brad Wall. They would both go on to compete at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games.

Mainly competing in the Alpine Technical events of Slalom and Giant Slalom, she raced in all 5 disciplines at the Sierra Nevada World Championships in 1996. Her best results during her campaign was 34th in Super G, 30th in Downhill and 15th in the Combined. 

Jeannette competed in an impressive 52 European Cups and made her World Cup debut in 1998. 

At the St Anton World Championships in 2001, she placed 27th in the Slalom, which qualified her for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. She placed 25th in the Slalom and also competed in the Giant Slalom, and after a strong first run putting her in 30th place, she recorded a DNF in run 2

Growing up in Canberra, Jeannette now calls Jindabyne home. She is a Physio and runs Elevate Physiotherapy.
