Come & Try Cross Country Skiing

Ever wanted to try Cross Country Skiing or learn new techniques and skills?

Open to everyone who is new to Cross Country Skiing! Cost per person is $25 for the day.  The day involves a two hour lesson from 9.00am to 11.00am by professional ski instructors, a BBQ lunch and tour of the trails in the afternoon.  Please arrive by 8.30am to be graded into groups.

Equipment can be hired from Wilderness Sports (Jindabyne & Perisher), Snowline Sports (Jindabyne) or Rhythm Sports (Cooma).

This event is run jointly by the Snow Australia NSW/ACT Cross Country Commitee and Perisher X-Country.

Please note that in the event that the Come & Try day cannot be held due to snow conditions or COVID, participants' entry payment will be donated to the Perisher Nordic Shelter.

Please note:  All Participants must have a current Snowracer membership and  SnowID in order to register.  If you do not have a SnowID or are unsure if you have a SnowID, please visit https://www.snowracer.com.au/registration/  Once you have obtained a SnowID you will be sent a Username via email to use when you register.  Please ensure that your SnowID details are up-to-date and your membership is active.

Snowracer (identified with your SnowID #) has been implemented by Snow Australia and is an initiative to increase participation for recreational and competitive skiers and snowboarders and is FREE to join. All participants with a current SnowID # are provided with FREE insurance cover while competing in Australia. This insurance is for non-medical expenses to the value of $500 and covers items such as refunds for your entry fee and lift tickets, lost accommodation or car repatriation.
