This fun event is run by Snowy Mountains Nordic in partnership with Snow Australia. The races are open to participants of all standards with basic experience of rollerskiing (or skiing).
Events & Schedule

Sunday
- 13:00 - Registration / Bib Pick-Up
- 13:30 - Time Trial (distance TBC)
- 14:30 (appox) - Head-to-Head Races
- 15:30 (approx) - Team Event (format TBC)
- 16:00 (approx) - Presentations
Event Formats
Time Trial
All participants will ski an individual time trial using an interval start format.
Head to Head Races
Based on the time trial, participants will be seeded into groups of similar standard. Within those groups, participants will race again head to head over the same distance.
Team Event
Based on the original time trial, participants will be placed into teams within categories. The format will be finalised closer to the event day.
Equipment
The intention is to supply all particiants with the same rollerskis (SWIX Triac Skates). Just in case, participants should be prepared to supply their own rollerskis for the events.
Registration
All competitors must be have a current Snow Australia membership of any category (including Snowracer).
Entry Fees (UPDATED 6 JUNE)
- $20 - Open / Masters / Juniors (U20/U18) using own skis
- $10 - U16/U14/U12 using own skis
Entries can be made on the day, however to assist with race organisation participants are asked to enter by the Wednesday before the race if possible.
Age categories
- Masters - (turn 40 or over in 2021, born 1981 or earlier)
- Open - Age 20-39 (born 1982-2001)
- U20 (born 2002-2005)
- U16 (born 2006-2007)
- U14 (born 2008-2009)
- U12 (born 2010 or later)
* Some age categories may be combined depending on numbers. Please note that ages groups will switch over the new brackets for the 2022 on-snow events (all categories move by 1 year).
Helmets & Safety Equipment - FOR ROLLERSKI EVENTS ONLY
An Australian Standards approved cycle helmet must be worn. Knee & elbow guards are optional.
COVID-19 Protocols
These competitions will follow Snow Australia's COVID-19 protocols for rollerski events. This includes hand hygiene and physical distancing, as well as sanitising of equipment. All participants (including officials, volunteers and spectators) must not attend an event if they:
- Have a sore throat, cough, cold or flu like symptoms, with fever or respiratory symptoms;
- Have been tested for COVID-19 but have not received the results.
In general, outdoor events such as this are considered low risk.
