AUSXC Junior Development Camp

Canberra, 15-16 April, 2023

CAMP DETAILS

This April camp in Canberra is a non-residential camp, including rollerskiing, running, ski-simulation activities and educational sessions. Participants are also expected to take part in the junior events of the 2023 Australian Rollerski Championship. Lunch will be provided at the AIS on each day, prior to the afternoon sessions. This camp is primarily for cross country skiers born between 2006-2008, though applications from proficient skiers of other ages may also be accepted.

APPLICATIONS

Any XC Sport Racer registered Snow Australia members may apply. Priority will be given to athletes already actively training for cross country skiing within a Snow Australia recognised Pathway Program (e.g. with NSWACT XC, Victorian Junior Squad, or Victorian club program). Any applicants deemed to be unsuitable will receive a full refund.

Dates: Saturday-Sunday, 15-16 April 2023
Locations: Canberra (Stromlo Forest Park and AIS)
First Session: 9:00am start for the Australian Rollerski Championship on 15 April.
- Registered participants will be advised directly about the times for other sessions.
Last Session:  Finishing by 3:30pm at the AIS on 16 April.

Transport between sessions: It is the responsibility of parents/athletes to arrange transport between Stromlo and the AIS.
Cost: $100, including lunch at the AIS each day.
Membership: Participants must have current Snow Australia XC Sport Racer membership (or higher).
Register: Please register by Sunday April 2 to confirm your place on the camp.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Any athletes exhibiting any cold / flu or other Covid-19 symptoms should not travel to attend this camp, nor attend any sessions if symptoms develop during the camp. More details will be provided to all participants leading into the camp.
