Mt Beauty Running Festival

CAMP DETAILS

This VICXC camp in Mt Beauty is a residential camp, including rollerskiing, running, ski-simulation activities and educational sessions. Participants are also expected to take part in 3km, 10km or 14km events of the Mt Beauty Running Festival. 

This camp is primarily for VIC XC athletes in years 9-12.If there is capacity additional places may be available to NSWXC athletes and athletes outside this age group, interested athletes in this group should email admin@vicxcskiteam.com. National team members are able to attend the camp or join in on sessions at no cost if they are providing their own accommodation. 

Dates: Saturday-Sunday, 20-21 May 2023 (Arrival at Diamantina Lodge on Friday from 7pm)
Locations: Mt Beauty
First Session: 9:00am assembly before warm-up for Running Festival events.
- Registered participants will be advised directly about the times for other sessions.
Last Session:  Finishing by 12:00 on Sunday

Accommodation: At Diamantina Lodge, BYO linen. It is not mandatory to stay with the team if you live locally or have other accommodation. There are 15 places available for athletes. 

Catering: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner, Sunday breakfast & lunch. Additonal training snacks will also be provided but athletes are welcome to bring any other foods they need.

Transport between sessions: Transport will be provided by coaches and designated parent volunteers.

Cost: $140 (Accommodation $50, Food $30, Camp Costs $60).
Free for AUSXC National Team (if no accommodation is required).

Membership: Participants must have current VICXC membership.
Register: Please register by Sunday 7th of May to confirm your place on the camp.

Further details will be provided in the lead-in to the camp.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Any athletes exhibiting any cold / flu or other Covid-19 symptoms should not travel to attend this camp, nor attend any sessions if symptoms develop during the camp. More details will be provided to all participants leading into the camp.
