SSA FUTURES: Falls Creek Park Sessions

The SSA Futures: Falls Creek Park Sessions is a Talent Identification/ Talent Development initiative developed by SSA with support from some of Australia’s top pro riders. With an aim of identifying potential talent in the disciplines of Freeski / Snowboard Slopestyle, the sessions will also enable talent development opportunities amongst athletes who are current members of various SSA Pathway Programs or train on their own individual program. Beyond on snow training and coaching the Sessions will educate athletes on ‘what it takes’ to become an elite athlete, the progression of skills inline with Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principals and the opportunities that are available to athletes in the pathway. SSA Park & Pipe Coordinator Rich Hegarty and SSA Pathway Program Head Coaches will be on hand to oversee the program. The sessions are supported by Falls Creek and the Rob Kneller Youth Foundation.

The Park & Pipe sessions will lead into the Falls Creek SSA Park & Pipe Series Slopestyle - WSF + AFP sanctioned event on Sunday 19th August which provide athletes the perfect platform to execute new skills learned during the program.
