2024 Moguls FUTURES EOI
Snow Australia is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2024 Moguls FUTURES at Perisher and the National Snowsports Training Centre (NSTC), Jindabyne.
WHAT IS SNOW AUSTRALIA FUTURES?
Snow Australia FUTURES has a vision to inspire the next generation of Snowsport competitors by offering unique opportunities for participants to engage with High-Performance athletes, staff, and facilities.
We remind ourselves that achievements of high performance are often built upon an enjoyment and passion for Snowsports and for the experiences it allows us to share with others.
With this in mind, Snow Australia FUTURES programs may aim to:
- Introduce participants to unique sporting opportunities and expert Snowsport athletes and coaches.
- Engage National Team athletes and programs in pathway development initiatives.
- Encourage participation in domestic ski and snowboard events.
- Facilitate interactions between competitive Snowsport participants within the national cohort.
- Introduce participants to elements of high-performance sport and practices.
- Provide education on the Snow Australia FTEM athlete pathway and the various opportunities, resources, and programs available to Australian Snowsport participants.
- Connect areas of the athlete pathway between interschools participation, Snow Australia pathway providers and ETP.
Snow Australia Moguls FUTURES
Moguls FUTURES is a Talent ID and skill development initiative delivered by Snow Australia with the support of the NSWIS and OWIA athletes and coaches.
The 2024 Moguls FUTURES Program will be led by Snow Australia Next Gen 32 Moguls Coach Ethan Topalovic.
Participants will have the opporutunity to train for a day at Perisher with NSWIS and OWIA athletes under the guidance of Snow Australia's Pathway Program Coaches. At the NSTC in Jindabyne, paticipants will learn how athletes prepare for high performance as well as developing acrobatic and fundamental movement skills to assist with progression in their sport.
This is a non-residential camp.
Who is it for?
The program is targeted at particpiants in seasonal programs that are recognisedSnow Australia Pathway Programs. However, this is not a pre-requisite. Participants that are not affiliated with a Pathway Club/Program must have the skills required to ski competitively on the Mogul Matt's Course at Perisher. Participants should also be interested in learning new skills at the NSTC Airbag, Acro Centre and Gym.
