Sundeck Cup Handicap (FS)

The 20th Sundeck Cup Handicap Cross Country Race will be held on Thursday 7 August, 2025.  All proceeds go to the 'XC Towards 2026' development fund for the Australian cross country ski team.

Start Time
11.00am  Handicap Start

Race Office
The Race Office outside the Nordic Shelter will be open from 10am.  Bibs can be collected from this time.

Online Entries
The field will be limited to a maximum of 70 starters. On-line entries will close when the field is full or Wednesday 6 August at 23:59.
Late entries will be taken at the Race Office until 10am on Race Day.

Entry Fees
Entry Fee - $50 (Aust National XC Team Members will be refunded)
Late Entry Fee - $60 (Entries on day of race)
Entry Fee includes post race BBQ lunch, drink and Presentation at the Sundeck (lunch may not be at the hotel this year).

Course
The race will be run anti-clockwise on the 7.5km loop/Paddys Link. All entrants will be given a starting time and starting will be in bib order from highest to lowest. Entrants will be responsible for starting at the correct time. Highway rules apply - keep left unless overtaking!

Handicap
***Your handicap will be ENTIRELY based on your estimated time. It will be adjusted for any course/distance change. As racers will start at 1 minute intervals nominate your handicap in whole minutes. If you break your estimated time by more than the percentage set by the handicapper you will be ineligible to win the cup***

Please note that to register for this event you must be a Snow Australia member, however, there is a FREE membership option - Snowracer membership. Snowracer membership provides FREE personal insurance on the day that you are participating in an event. This insurance is for non-medical expenses to the value of $500 and covers items such as refunds for your entry fee and lift tickets, lost accommodation or car repatriation.
