International Judge Commission (IJC) TTR/ FIS/ WSF Snowboard Park & Pipe Judging Clinic

SSA together with The Mile High are hosting a National and International Level Snowboard Park and Pipe Judging Clinic.

Where: Banjo Patterson Room, The Station Resort, Jindabyne, NSW, Australia

Directions: Turn right at the roundabout at the entrance to The Station. The Banjo Patterson Room is at the back of the first building on the left once you drive up the hill

When: Friday August 19th, 9am till 3pm

Who: The course is suitable for first time judges wishing to get into judging at grass roots / Interschools/ SSA slopestyle level as well as experienced judges looking to become certified to judge at International FIS, TTR and WST events. Prior experience in judging, coaching or as an athlete is required. This is the first national double sanctioned (TTR/FIS/IJC) clinic and everyone can extend their current judging licences or get their C license to judge at National Level.

What: A one-day judging clinic with 2 of the world’s best slopestyle judges. Giom Morriset and Iztok Sumatic. Between Giom and Iztok they have judged at almost every major event on the World Snowboard Tour, including the US OPEN, X-Games and the Olympic Winter Games.

The Judging clinic will run through the processes and technical understanding required for freestyle snowboard judging.

At the end of the clinic and upon successful completion of the accreditation judges will receive a C license for both TTR and FIS which will enable them to judge at National Level events globally. Any judges with an existing C License can attend the clinic and do their B License or International level certification.

By attending this clinic, judges will go onto the SSA judges database and become eligible for appointments to judging panels for domestic events. Those who pursue a B license or higher will be eligible to judge at World Cup events. The judge pathway established from this inaugural clinic will allow judges to pursue Olympic Winter Games and World Championship judging appointments.
