Melbourne Acro Sessions

SSA Futures Acro Sessions aim to develop the fundamental movement and aerial skills of athletes to enhance on-snow skill development.  These skills are highly desirable and transferable, and we encourage athletes from all Snowsports disciplines to attend these sessions.

The Melbourne Acro Sessions are also a great opportunity to bring the Snowsports community together before the season to meet new and old friends.  Education will be provided on the Athlete Pathway, high performance training and upcoming events for the 2019 Season.

What is it?

Two trampoline and acrobatic sessions to be held in the April School holidays.  Each session will include a combination of traditional gymnastics, ski and snowboard specific trampoline coaching, and strength and conditioning drills.  Acrobatic training will take place in the high performance facilities of BOUNCE INC, with access to the Air-bag, trampolines and tumbling strip.

When is it?

16^th & 17^th of April

Session options:  Tuesday 4:00pm – 6:00pm

                        Wednesday  4:00pm – 6:00pm

Equipment?

Trampoline socks will be provided.  Just bring some comfortable sportswear and a water bottle!

Transport: 

All participants are required to make their own way to and from BOUNCE.

Who is it for?

All Snowsport athletes that want to enhance their on-snow skill development.

Coaching

SSA Futures Melbourne Acro Sessions will be led by Johnny Lipzker.  Johnny has been the head freeski coach at Team Buller Riders for over 8 years and has a background in both traditional and freestyle acrobatics.  Other coaches will be confirmed soon and will include a range of high performance Snowsport coaches and athletes. 

Cost

$50 per session (2 hours)

Our new membership year rolls over shortly.  If you are having issues registering it may be that your 2018/2019 SSA membership has expired.  Visit the SSA or Snowracer website to renew for 2019/2020.
