Background
The AUSXC Junior/ U23 2016/17 tour is designed for athletes aiming to compete at the 2017 Junior & U23 World Championships in Park City Utah. The 9-week tour is open to National Team athletes born 2000 or earlier who are at the standard or looking to step up to the standard of competition at a World Championship event. Daily training and living arrangements will be coordinated by Australian coaches while the athletes will also have the opportunity to train with the local SVSEF Sun Valley Post-Grad and Gold teams (many of whom will be in contention to be competing at the championships). With the team training as a cohesive unit at altitude, training with some of the best athletes in the world as well as being in close proximity to major championship events, this should lead to Australian athletes having the best chance to achieve success at the Junior / U23 World Championship events.
