Looking to update your knowledge of ski techniques or tick off another component of your XC ski coaching qualification?

Two Level 1 XC Coach On-Snow Technique Workshops will be held at Perisher during the July school holidays. The workshops will be presented by NSWXC Winter Coach Jeremy Hecker.

These workshops covers the basics of teaching classic and freestyle cross country skiing techniques, what to look for when assessing skier technique, using apps and video for evaluating technique, and tips and tricks for getting everything to "click". For past coaches it will also be an excellent opportunity to refresh your understanding of ski technique and see if much has changed in recent years.

The course is only available to registered coaches. If you would like to become a registered coach you need to complete the Australian Sports Commission Basic Coaching General Principles, online through the ASC website prior to attending the course. This also applies to instructors wanting to attend the course. A copy of the Coaching Principles certificate needs to be emailed to fmarsland@skiandsnowboard.org.au prior to the course.

If they don't have one already, participants will be provided with a Snow ID via Snowracer. More details will be provided following registration.
