2021 North-East Victoria Rollerski Challenge
Wodonga TAFE Driver Training Complex
Saturday April 24
This fun rollerskiing event is run by Telemark Nordic Ski Club in partnership with Snow Australia. The races are open to participants of all standards with basic experience of rollerskiing. After the event, Telemark is also offering a Come and Try Biathlon opportunity at SSAA Wodonga.

Event Formats
Barrel Race Sprint
All participants will ski a 200m freestyle "barrel race" time trial, then be seeded into head to head rounds in different age categories. The fastest progresses to the next round.
Distance - 1.6 km / 3.2 km / 4.8 km / 6.4 km
All participants will start in a mass start freestyle event, with different number of laps for different age classes.
Equipment
Depending on numbers, the intention is to supply all particiants with the same rollerskis (SWIX Triac Skates). Just in case, participants should be prepared to supply their own rollerskis for the events.
Registration
All competitors must be have a current Snow Australia membership of any category (including Snowracer).
Entry Fees
- $20 - Open / Masters
- $15 - Open Junior (U20/U18)
- $10 - Junior (U16/U14/U12)
Entries can be made on day, however to assist with race organisation participants are asked to enter by Wednesday April 21 if possible.
Age categories*
- Masters - (born 1980 or earlier)
- Sub-categories U50 / U60 / U70 / 70+ - Open - Age 20-39 (born 1981-2000)
- Open Junior (born 2001-2004)
- U16 (born 2005-2006)
- U14 (born 2007-2008)
- U12 (born 2009 or later)
Note - These ages classes are taken from 31 December 2020. After 1 June age classes wil be taken from 31 December 2021 (i.e. U16 born 2006-2007).

Come and Try Biathlon
Telemark Nordic Ski Club invites interested persons to take part in this biathlon opportunity as the SSAA Wodonga. Here are the basic details:

Helmets & Safety Equipment
An Australian Standards approved cycle helmet must be worn. Knee & elbow guards are optional.
COVID-19 Protocols
These competitions will follow Snow Australia's COVID-19 protocols for rollerski events. This includes hand hygiene and physical distancing, as well as sanitising of equipment. All participants (including officials, volunteers and spectators) must not attend an event if they:
- Have a sore throat, cough, cold or flu like symptoms, with fever or respiratory symptoms;
- Have been exposed to anyone with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days;
- Have returned to Australia or from an identified COVID-19 hotspot within the last 14 days;
- Have been tested for COVID-19 but have not received the results.
In general, participants should adopt a "get in, race, get out" approach.
