Anton Grimus grew up and started his skiing career in Mt Buller where his family also owned and managed Hotel Pension Grimus. His father Hans Grimus was involved in building the first lift infrastructure on the mountain through record snow seasons and without the modern conveniences afforded to those constructing lifts nowadays. A carpenter in his homeland, Mr Grimus began building Hotel Pension Grimus in the early 1970s in the authentic Tyrolean style true to his heritage.

Anton was an alpine racer training with Mt Buller Race Club before switching to Ski Cross where he made his World Cup debut in 2010. He competed in 71 World Cups, with his best result a bronze in 2012 In Nakiska Canada.

Anton is a dual Olympian, having competed at Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. He also competed in 4 World Championships, with his best result  7th in 2013.
