Ben made his Halfpipe World Cup debut in Whistler in 2002, placing 21^st.

In 2004, Ben became the first male halfpipe rider to make a World Cup final, alongside Andrew Burton, in Bardonecchia, Italy. He placed 9^th overall.

He made his Olympic debut at the Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games.

Throughout his career, he competed in 36 World Cups and 3 World Championships.

In January 2009, he achieved his best career result, a Silver Gujo Halfpipe World Cup medal.
