Discipline: Snowboard Olympic Participation: Sochi 2014 A keen surfer herself, Hannah comes from a family of surfing royalty. Her father Paul Trigger was a Victorian State Champion in surfing and also an Australian Over 50s shortboard champion. Her uncle Phil notched up numerous Australian Titles finals results. She made her World Cup debut in 2007 in Calgary, which she placed 10th. During her career she competed in 17 World Cups over 7 years. Her best results were a 9th place in Stoneham, Canada, in 2007 and a 9th in Ruka, Finland, in 2013. She competed in two World Championships in 2009 and 2013. In 2009, Trigger took time out of the sport to rehabilitate her knee after suffering an ACL injury. She returned to the circuit in December 2010 with the ultimate goal of qualifying for the Olympics. Her results from the season saw her headed to Sochi where she was 20th in the Snowboard Halfpipe. Hannah made her Olympic debut at the Sochi 2014 Games at the age of 27. |
