A gymnast from the age of three, Samantha wells was introduced to the sport by Jacqui Cooper after an injury disrupted her gymnastics career. 

She first began to compete on the World Cup circuit in 2012, and in her debut placed 6th at Mont Gabriel. 

Her 6th place at the Word Championships helped her book her spot on her first Olympic team at Sochi 2014, where he finished in 19th place.

Throughout her six years on the circuit, she made 37 World Cup starts. Her best performances came in 2016 with a silver medal in Deer Valley, USA, and bronze in Beida Lake, China. 

Wells placed 10th in the 2017 Sierra Nevada Word Championships, her second and final World Championships appearance.

After the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Wells retired from Aerial skiing. 

She is currently a guest presented for the Australian Olympic Committee Olympics Unleashed program, where Olympians visit schools to inspire sport participation and motive students to achieve their personal best.
