Discipline: Alpine Skiing Olympic participations: Sapporo 1972 Medal awarded in: 2020 Older brother of fellow Olympian Kim Clifford, Steven grew up in Thredbo, NSW, and was only 15 when he represented Australia at the 1970 World Alpine Ski Championships in Italy. He then went on to participate in the 1972 Olympic Winter Games at Sapporo, Japan, the second member of an Alpine team which also featured Malcom Milne. Steven participated in the Downhill and Giant Slalom, placing in 44th and 36th place respectively. He also competed in the Slalom event, but did not finish the final round run. |
