Taylah started skiing at the Perisher Winter Sports Club (PWSC) program in 2003, when she was eight years old. In the program, she experienced all different disciplines of snowsports including slopestyle, moguls and alpine. After he first year of PWSC, Taylah made the transition to the moguls competition group, and from there made a career for herself in the sport.

She was competing at the elite level by 2009 and took part in her first World Cup in 2010.
Her dream came a little closer to becoming a reality when she finished 5th at the 2012 FIS (International Ski Federation) World Junior Championships. That put her well on the path to the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

When in Russia for her first Winter Olympic Games, Taylah reached her Olympic goal of a top-20 finish (16th place).

Taylah made more than 30 World Cup starts in her career, and targeted the end of the Beijing 2022 campaign to make her retirement from mogul skiing.

Managing both an ACL and MCL injury in China, meant Taylah was unable to finishing the qualifying stages at the Games.

Taylah says her most influtential coach has been Peter Topalovic.

“He was my head coach from 13 years-old when I first joined NSWIS up until 2018. He was my coach at my first World Cup competition in 2010 and first Olympics in 2014. He has been a massive support throughout my entire career, even now I can still reach out when I need advice.”
