How to bring Little Shredders to your school

 

You can bring the program to your school by hiring the equipment. Teachers can deliver the program using the lesson plans supplied or Snow Australia can supply coaches to teach the program in certain locations.

As Sporting Schools programs, schools can apply for funding to bring the program to their school.

Little Shredders (Teacher Delivered)

For $350 we will send you all the equipment and provide you with detailed lesson plans to help deliver a 4-session program at your school. Snow Australia have set up a free online Little Shredders Coaching course that includes video instruction and guidance to assist in the delivery of each lesson plan.

There are two steps involved with accessing the free online Little Shredders Coaching Course:

  1. Register for Snow Australia's free membership tier, 'Snowracer'
  2.  Use your newly acquired Snow ID to register for Snow Academy

The Little Shredders course will sit on the Snow Academy platform, and you can access it at any time.

 

Little Shredders (Coach Delivered)

For an additional fee, your school may be able to book a Snow Australia endorsed coach to assist in the delivery of a Little Shredders program. Please contact Snow Australia for more information before booking as coaching availability may vary. Currently coaches are only available in ACT or Jindabyne.

Program details & resources

Both programs can be delivered as a four-session program in school by teachers or an external coach. Each lesson length is 45 minutes, which can be adjusted to class schedule and time allotment.

You can download the program cirriculum that provides a structured program which includes four lesson plans and other key information to help teachers and coaches deliver fun and engaging sessions, no snow required!

 

Little Shredders Coaching Accreditation course

This online course has been designed by Snow Australia to provide coaches and teachers with the tools to deliver a snowsports experience to children 'off-snow'. This course will provide participants with an overview of the skills and equipment necessary to deliver a safe, fun, and inclusive experience.

The course is free, but you do need an active Snow Australia membership to access and complete the course. A free 'Snowracer' or volunteer membership is available to do so.

How to complete the course
