| Why I love competing in Alpine: | Ski cross allows you to let loose and have fun. All the courses vary and there is always something different. It encompasses, I feel, all aspects of skiing and allows you to compete alongside three other ski racers which adds a whole new level of excitement. It’s is a technical discipline to understand and you need to have a good sense of awareness in the air. For me I loved free skiing, carving through all the natural bumps and terrain and jumping off anything I could, which I guess is much the same as ski cross, made me love the sport. | |
| Any training advice: | Training for ski cross, free skiing is the best bet, just skiing as much terrain as possible and being comfortable with airtime. Technique for me came after I already was quite comfortable with speed and airtime. Being able to trust the skis and being able to quickly change movements to match the terrain is the best training I feel. Ski and have fun doing it. | |
