2019 Ski and Snowboard Australia Community Sport Awards Finalists Announced

Ski & Snowboard Australia is pleased to announce the first of the finalists for the inaugural Community Sport Awards.

Across five categories, the finalists comprise of outstanding young athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, schools and clubs from across the disciplines and development pathway, with successes and achievements both off and on-snow.

The winners of the Community Sport Awards will be announced at the Awards Ceremony - to be held at QT Canberra on Thursday November 7.

CLUB COACH OF THE YEAR

Club coaches who have made a significant contribution to their club program, either on or off snow, with a focus on improving community sport through encouraging participation, fairness, integrity and making Snowsports more welcoming, safe and inclusive.

This award recognises a young athlete who have achieved excellence off snow, through giving back to the sport, community service, and/or academic achievements, along with their on-snow performance.

SPIRIT OF INTERSCHOOLS AWARD

This award recognises a student who, through their actions, has emobdied the spirit of interschool snowsport competition. This award is not necessarily about performance but considers participation in multiple discplines and events, longevity, and leadership, support and promotion of their own school snowsports program.
