This time of year the snow community would traditionally gather for Snow Australia’s night of nights. While in 2020 the community cannot physically be together, the Snow Australia Awards will be held online, as we celebrate the great year that was.

The Snow Australia Awards, which recognise Paralympic Athlete of the Year, Olympic Athlete of the Year, Junior Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year and Outstanding Achievement, will have a different look in 2020 as we move online… but the same level of prestige and excitement. .

From the 4 May 2020 across three weeks, Snow Australia will be announcing the various Awards winners with interviews with the finalists and winners. Stay tuned to Snow Australia social media channels @SnowAust for all the details and interviews.

Snow Australia Chief Executive Officer, Michael Kennedy, will host the virtual Awards that will celebrate the very best the sport has to offer.

“We’ll still be celebrating the achievements of our athletes and coaches as we do every year, it will just look a little different this time,” Kennedy said.

“Although we are living in uncertain times and we are all doing our bit to protect our season by staying home and staying safe, that doesn’t mean that as a community we can’t come together online to recognise some of the great highlights and results in the last year.

“Our athletes in particular have risen to new heights in the past 12 months and it was important for us to still be able to celebrate them.”

Nominees and finalists from each of the categories will be announced, before each Award winner is unveiled. Snow Australia will be speaking directly with all the nominees and winners, from the comfort of their own home, talking all things snow sport.

So, get the popcorn, get dressed and join us from 4th May as we prepare to celebrate the 2020 Snow Australia Awards.
