EOI Open - 2023 Park & Pipe Junior World Championships

The 2023 FIS Park & Pipe Junior World Championships will be held at Cardrona Alpine Resort from August 25th 2023 to September 8th 2023. The Junior World Championships form part of the wider 2023 Winter Games NZ event which returns for its tenth edition in the Southern Lakes District of New Zealand.
With the Junior World Championships so close to our back door we are excited to announce that Snow Australia is now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from our eligible skiers and snowboarders. Please read through the information below and if eligible submit your EOI via the online form.
Events to be held
We will be looking to enter athletes in the following Freeski & Snowboard events:
- Big Air
- Halfpipe
- Slopestyle
Eligible Age Limits
Although this event is being held during the 2024 FIS season it is categorised as a 2023 calendared event. As such, competitors will need to be born from 2005-2009 to be eligible. Please see page 58 of the FIS International competition Rules (ICR) for more information.
Selection Timeline
- May 19 - Call for Expressions of Interest from eligible competitors.
- June 9 - Expressions of Interest close
- June 15 - Team confirmed
- June 16 - Official Team Announcement

Eligibility
To be considered, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Born between 2005-2009 (inclusive)
- Be a current Snow Australia member, registered for Park & Pipe and have FIS license
- 2023/24 Membership opened on May 1. If you need to join for 2023 click here.
- Have read and met the Snow Australia Selection Criteria: Park and Pipe to compete at the JWC
