The 2025 Snow Australia Awards recognise the achievements of athletes across the 2024/25 season and we are pleased to announce the Athletes of the Year in Paralympic Disciplines.
The Award winners are now nominated for the overall Male & Female Athlete of the Year - Paralympic Disciplines, which will be presented at the 2025 Snow Australia Awards in Melbourne on Thursday 1 May - Click here to purchase tickets.
Female Para Alpine Athlete of the Year - Georgia Gunew & Ethan Jackson
Georgia Gunew & Ethan Jackson’s second season of World Cup racing was strong once again. The pair were incredibly consistent, capturing ten top ten finishes as they continued to build their teamwork and gain experience on the World Cup tour.
The dynamic duo saved their best results for last, adding to their maiden World Cup podium last season with two more at Veysonnaz, bronze medals in both giant slalom and slalom at the final World Cup stop of the year.
Male Para Alpine Athlete of the Year - Josh Hanlon
Josh Hanlon started the season in good form, scoring a career-best fourth place finish in the World Cup slalom at Tignes in December, however even bigger things were in store for the 27-year-old.
At the Feldberg World Cup in January, Josh broke through for his first World Cup podiums with two bronze medals from three events.
He finished his best-ever World Cup season fifth on the slalom standings, seventh in super G and seventh overall in the Men's Sitting category.
Male Para Snowboard Athlete of the Year - Ben Tudhope
Ben Tudhope was once again rarely off the World Cup podium with seven trips to the medal dais from nine races.
Those results helped the Paralympic bronze medallist to second place on the Snowboard Cross, Banked Slalom and Overall Para Snowboard standings.
Ben rounded out his campaign with Snowboard Cross bronze at the World Championships, the fourth-straight World Championships he has ridden his way onto the podium.
