Alpine Membership Reminder

SSA Membership and Alpine Registration
With the season upon us, National Skills assessments underway and the first Alpine competitions just around the corner, this is a reminder that all Alpine competitors must register as soon as possible for the 2017 season. In particular if you are competing in FIS level competitions you will need to be registered before June 26th to ensure you are included on the first FIS points list for the year.
As previously communicated, there has been some changes made to the Alpine membership options this season to simplify the process and provide better value for members and families. The Alpine membership packages have been streamlined and are now inclusive of National Skills Assessment and Physical Testing program fees, removing the need for members to make additional payments for these essential programs during the season.
The new membership categories are (in ascending order):
- Snowracer
- Alpine Club Racer
- Alpine Rookie
- Alpine Junior Racer
- Alpine Racer – FIS and SX

Have you registered correctly?
We understand that there has been some confusion with the changes to Alpine Registration and membership.
Most of the confusion centres around members registering as Alpine Rookie instead of Alpine Junior.
The Alpine Rookie registration is for all under 12 competitors and those under 14 and 16 competing for the first time. If you are under 14 or 16 and have previously competed in SSA Children’s series events you will require an Alpine Junior membership. Alpine Rookie is an introductory membership option.
To ensure you have the correct registration type for the season and to any prevent any issues around entering races or programs please review the tables below which will guide you through the membership classes and eligible events and programs.
How do I upgrade my membership?
If you have registered incorrectly and you need to upgrade your membership you can do so via the SSA membership portal. You can access the portal here and using your login details upgrade your membership by following the link on the bottom left. When upgrading a registration, you will only be charged the difference between what you have already paid for membership and the upgrade selected.
While in your portal please ensure all your contact information is current and correct.
If you cannot recall your log in details you can have them emailed to you here or via the log in page.
