Alpine Snowboard - 2024/25 Season Wrap
Published Mon 07 Apr 2025
Barely a weekend went by when Australians weren’t making their mark across all snowsports disciplines however it was two of our Alpine Snowboarders who were arguably our hardest-working athletes of the season.
Millie Bongiorno and Harvey Edmanson combined for more than 50 race starts over the course of the season, including 32 World Cups.
Millie finished the season sixth on the overall Nor-Am Cup standings after four races in six days returned two victories, a third and a fifth place.
She also scored two top 10s at European Cup level and a top five FIS result at a race in Italy.
Competing at her fourth World Championships, Millie combined with Harvey for 25th place in the Teams event, was 29th in parallel giant slalom and 35th in parallel slalom.
Harvey’s season was highlighted by a trip to the Austrian National Championships in Simonhoehe.
After returning a 21st place in the parallel giant slalom, Harvey hit his straps the following day to finish third in the parallel slalom. The result earned him his best ever return of FIS points from a race.
Harvey also scored a European Cup top 10 in Italy and at the World Championships placed 35th (parallel slalom) and 41st (parallel giant slalom) in the individual events.
Georgia Brose and Mia Chawner both represented the UniRoos at the World Winter University Games at Bardonecchia in Italy.
In the parallel giant slalom, Mia was 17th with Georgia in 20th, while in the parallel slalom Georgia was 17th and Mia 19th.
Mia had prepared for the event at a Nor-Am Cup in Colorado where she scored a top 10 finish, while Georgia made her European Cup debut in January, competing in six events with a best placing of 24th.
