AUSTRALIAN FILM PREMIERE
Australia's leading female snow sport athletes and sisters Anna and Nat Segal are proud to present their first self produced documentary. Finding the Line explores fear, its paralysing grip and its role in our decision-making through the eyes of two sisters as they traverse the world looking for big mountains and new challenges that push them to their physical and emotional limits.
Throughout their careers as professional skiers, Anna and Nat have both constantly been challenged by fear. Yet, despite being brought up under the same roof, they have learned to deal with it in almost contrasting ways. Finding the Line is a heartfelt journey on the knife’s edge of big mountains where the Australian sisters soon realise that the most important lessons lie within each others’ approach.
Equipped with greater insight, they negotiate the fine balance between staying in their comfort zone and taking too much risk, learning that sometimes to move forward, you need to understand what is holding you back.
The film features an award winning team including director Bjarne Salén (Best Documentary Powder Award, Best in Snow Banff Film Festival), executive producer Fran Derham (First Love) and AFI nominated editor Sara Edwards and guest appearances from skiing legends Mike Douglas and Seth Morrison and Freeride World Tour champion Lorraine Huber.
Finding the Line Australian Film Tour is proudly presented by The North Face.

Renowned for representing Australia in the Sochi Winter Olympic Games in Ski Slopestyle Anna is a seasoned freeski competitor of ten years and has won gold at X Games and the inaugural FIS World Championships.
Since the Olympics Anna has branched out with the aim of developing her skiing skills and progressing the sport she loves in ways that competition wouldn’t allow. Her focus still rests on progressing women’s skiing, but rather than displaying it to a panel of judges, her endeavours are now being captured through the lens of a camera.
Nat has been traveling the world as a top competitor in freeride skiing events for seven years, including the Freeride and Freeskiing World Tours, where she has claimed podiums on multiple occasions. For the last three years she has been based in Chamonix, France where her focus has broadened to ski mountaineering, steep skiing and ski expeditions. This includes an all-female ski and sail expedition to Greenland to ski first descents, for which Nat was awarded a National Geographic Young Explorers award.
