Save The Dates: ANC Event Schedule Announcement
Published Thu 16 Jun 2022
Snow Australia is excited to announce the return of multiple Australian and New Zealand Continental Cup (ANC) FIS Events to the 2022 Domestic Season Calendar.
ANC Events form a critical aspect of the high-performance pathway, providing athletes with opportunities to develop competition experience and gather FIS points in Australia.
Ski Cross will be a new addition this year to the Mt Hotham ANC and Snow Australia FUTURES Events.
Olympic Ski Cross Athlete and Snow Australia Sport Development Coordinator Sami Sim has the following message for the Australian Alpine Community:
“The ANC SX Futures camp is a great way for athletes to explore the exciting discipline that is Ski Cross. Participants will be given a unique opportunity to train with the National Team on course in the lead up to the ANC Events.
Racing in the ANC Ski Cross Series gives athletes a taste of international competition and hopefully entices them to enter competitions during their northern hemisphere seasons in Europe and North America. Competing in these events fuels the pathway from FIS races, to World Junior Championships, Europa Cup, World Cup and even the Olympic Games.
National team athletes and Olympic coaches look forward to welcoming athletes to Hotham in August 2022.”
