This past weekend saw over a dozen Aussies on snow from USA to Europe, our top ski and snowboard athletes were battling it out on the world stage. Check out their latest results!
FIS FREESTYLE SKIING MOGUL WORLD CUP UNDERWAY
Seven Aussie athletes contested the highly anticipated FIS Freestyle Ski moguls World Cup opener in Ruka, Finland on Friday 7 December.
It was the ninth consecutive time that Ruka’s ‘Battery Run’ course has played host to the season’s opening competition, once again delivering top-notch show.
Five Australians progressed into the finals round including Jakara Anthony, Britt Cox, Taylah O’Neil, Matt Graham and Brodie Summers.
Anthony was the only athlete to earn a spot in the super final and narrowly missed out on a podium finish, finishing in fourth place.

The Aussie mogul team will now turn their attention to the next World Cup event in Thaiwoo, China from 15-16 December.
GOLDEN RETURN FOR SCOTTY JAMES AT FIS SNOWBOARD WORLD CUP OPENER
With three Aussies representing at the internationally renowned Copper Mountain (USA), some of the world’s best snowboard riders were on hand to kickstart the 2018/19 FIS Snowboard World Cup season.
PyeongChang bronze medalist Scotty James scored a sensational victory with his final run, showing great signs ahead of the new season.
James now sits atop of the World Cup leader board with four events remaining and the World Cup champion to be crowned in the USA during early March.
Fellow Australian teammate Kent Callister also qualified for the finals, finishing an impressive ninth place and setting him up for a strong season ahead.

FIS ALPINE SKIING WORLD CUP
With touch conditions at the season’s second FIS Alpine FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup event in St Mortiz (Switzerland), Greta Small was one of 17 competitors unable to finish the course.
Small will now look to turn things around this weekend in two events (Downhill and Super G) when on snow in Val d'lsere, France from 15-16 December on the next World Cup stop.
WILD CONDITIONS IN AUSTRIA DENY PARA ALPINE SKIERS
The Para Alpine National German Championships were cancelled due to windy conditions in Pitzal (Austria).
Competitors will be hoping Europa Cup races at the same destination will produce better weather for two days of racing starting 10 December.
Some of Australia’s PyeongChang Paralympians will be back in action including dual Paralympics bronze medalist Melissa Perrine, as well as Patrick Jensen, Sam Tait, and Tori Pendergast, and sighted guide Bobbi Kelly.
