Australian Junior World Championships Teams Announced

Ski and Snowboard Australia are proud to announce two national Junior World Championship teams due to start competition in their respective competitions across the next fortnight.

In total, 18 athletes will be on show across the 2019 FIS Junior World Championship events for Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross as well as Park and Pipe throughout Europe.

It all begins with six Aussies in action at the FIS Junior World Championships for Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross on 28 March in Reiteralm, Austria.

Then, a large contingent of 12 Australian riders will lay it down in the Swedish town of Klaeppen from 4-14 April with many young guns keen to showcase their talents.

Fresh off a US Open Junior Jam gold medal, Valentino Guseli will be aiming to replicate the same vein of form which put him on top of the podium in Colorado.

Ski and Snowboard Australia's Performance Pathway & Program Manager Ben Wordsworth says there is a a lot of talent in the teams selected to represent Australia and he is hopeful of strong results for the athletes.

"There is a great level of depth across both these teams and with the coaches on the ground the athletes will be in the best possible shape heading into their competitions.

"Both these events are extremely important for our junior athletes as they look to progress through our pathways and compete at a senior level.

"I know Australia will get behind these teams and we wish them all the very best for great performances," he said.
