“We have a new Executive and the important thing now is that as an Olympic Committee, all 40 of our sports and our Executive, that has been refreshed, we work together to achieve all of those tasks that I outlined in my address today,” Coates said.
“But particularly the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang in 2018 and then the massive effort that must go into our team for Tokyo 2020.”
Coates also thanked Danni Roche for her Presidency campaign.
“I am very pleased but I would also like to thank very much publicly Danni (Roche) for the continued interest she’s shown in the Olympic movement by putting up her candidacy.”
“We (the sports) have to come together and move forward with these objectives.”
