After a stunning first day of action at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, Snow Australia athletes will feature in three sports on Day 2.

Cross-Country Skiing

Seve De Campo will be starting his Olympic campaign on Day 2 of competition with the men's 15km + 15km skiathlon. Following the same format as the women's event with the additional distance, De Campo will face the same challenging conditions as Jessica Yeaton on Saturday, with wind and freezing temperatures despite the event being scheduled in the warmest part of the day at the Zhangjiakou National Cross-Country Skiing Centre.

Skiathlon combines both classical and freestyle techniques, meaning there are more tactics involved in skiathlon than in regular mass start races. Competitors start simultaneously, lined up in an arrow format with the best ranked skiers at the front.

The first half of the race is completed using a classical technique. Athletes then use dedicated changing boxes in the stadium to switch skis and often poles. The second half is raced using the free technique.

In an international talent-stacked field of 70, this will be De Campo's first of five events at the Games.

Catch all the action live from 6pm AEDT.

Freestyle Skiing

In one of Australia's best medal chances at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, Jakara Anthony, Britt Cox and Sophie Ash are back in action in the women's moguls event at the Genting Snow Park A & M Stadium.

After finishing 1st qualification #1 run, Jakara has already booked her spot in the finals alongside Cox. Sophie Ash competes in qualification #2, which begins from 9pm AEDT, with the top 10 progressing in the finals stage.

The finals will follow shortly after qualification 2. The top 20 athletes will compete for a place in the top 12 before the field is further reduced to 6 in the Super Final.

Snowboard

Tess Coady is well positioned going into finals day and will have her sights set on a podium in the women's slopestyle final.

After finishing 8th with a score of 71.13 in qualification, Tess will be facing a stacked field with some of the biggest names in the sport from the USA, New Zealand and Japan. Coady will have three runs in the final, with the best score determining the final rankings.
