Mt Buller set for 2018 Junior National Mogul Champs
The Junior National Mogul Championships "jNats" will return to Mt Buller this week to showcase Australia’s top junior athletes.
PyeongChang Olympic silver medalist Matt Graham, triple Olympian and World Champion Britt Cox, and 2014 Sochi Olympic team-mate Nicole Parks are all previous event winners.
Conditions are looking solid after early snowfalls which should deliver an expected full-length course over 200m with two jumps for the junior and youth competitors.
The event serves as an important step for mogul skiers, giving them the opportunity to press for national development team selection. It also offers an ideal lead-up to the Victorian Interschools and ABOM Mogul Challenge events at Mt Buller.
Trophies will be presented to the top three place getters in the four different categories - Junior Men, Junior Women, Youth Men, Youth Women.
The jNats event caters for all skill levels, from first time mogul competitors to aspiring Australian development team skiers.

Talent Identification Program for Moguls
This weekend selected junior athletes will participate in the Moguls Talent Identification Program (TIP) as part of SSA Futures program designed to introduce athletes to the high performance pathway.
For over a decade the TIP program has serviced Australia’s most promising moguls athletes, with many past and current top athletes coming through the system.
TIP athletes receive coaching from NSWIS coordinator and long standing NSWIS, World Cup and Olympic Mogul coach Peter Topalovic. In addition, NSWIS team athletes will be on hand to also offer support and feedback.
Athletes have been invited to attend the program after impressive performances at one of three NSW regional Interschools competitions.
These athletes have been identified by coaches to be involved in high level competition with formalised instruction and training for their development.
