In her first World Championships, 16 year old Australian snowboard slopestyle rider, Tess Coady has finished in 11th place overnight at Sierra Nevada, Spain.

With a field of 33 riders, and most competitors coming to Spain with much more experience, Tess posted her best score of 63.50 points in her second run. Unfortunately this was not enough for her to progress to the final with only the top 8 riders making the cut.

Tess has had an incredible season, only competing in her first World Cup event in early February at Mammoth Mountain, USA, where she finished in 6th place after qualifying 4th.

Tess will now look towards the next World Cup and the Junior World Championships both being held at Spindleruv Mlyn, CZE beginning on March 24.
