Consistent Aussies moving up the ranks on Day 3 of Lausanne 2020

Over in Les Diablerets at the Women’s Giant Slalom, Zoe Michael bounced back from her 43rd place finish in the Super-G and a DNF in the Alpine Combined, for a strong 25th place finish in the Giant Slalom.

She was more than 6 seconds off the pace in 37th place after her first run, but moved up to 25th after her second clean run, placing her just outside of the top 30% off the field, 11.11 seconds off the eventual winner, Switzerland’s Amelie Klopfenstein.

Unfortunately, her fellow teammate Isabella Davis came out of the course in her first run and recorded a DNF.

Australia’s male alpine skiers, Joey Steggall and Thomas Hoffman will tackle the Giant Slalom course on Monday, before all four skiers contest the Slalom on Tuesday.
