Northern World Cup season kicks off for Cox and Coady

RESULTS: Although not the results that they would have hoped for, Cox and Coady had a solid hit out at their first World Cup of the northern hemisphere season. Coady finished 11th overall, while Cox finished the weekend in 41st. Cox's next competition will be in Beijing on December 9-15. Taking place in the skies above Italy at the Modena Skipass, an impressive scaffold ramp that stands at 46m tall and 130m long has been built and is set to deliver a weekend full of action.
Italy will see Tess Coady return to World Cup action following her heartbreaking knee injury at PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games in 2018. The former Big Air Junior World Champion and World Cup medallist will be competing against reigning Olympic slopestyle champion Jamie Anderson (USA), X Games medallist Anna Gasser (AUT) and Japanese duo Reira Iwabuchi and Miyabi Onitsuka who finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, at Modena last year.
In the mens competition, Matt Cox who is coming off a career best 5th place in Cardrona, New Zealand during the southern winter will be hoping to carry this form into Europe as he comes up against a strong field in Modena. American Chris Corning who already has a win under his belt from the season opener will lead the way with World Championship and Olympic medallist, Mark McMorris (CAN) returning from injury and competing for the first time since the 2017/2018 season.
