Cox soars to 10th at Air and Style Beijing

Matt Cox soared to a top ten finish at the Air and Style Beijing Big Air World Cup at the weekend.
The impressive city big air venue will host competition at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and athletes have described the purpose built scaffold facility as ‘next level’.
Cox was one of 50 athletes from 22 nations in the competition and was one to watch after he finished third in qualifying.
In his first qualifying run, Cox performed a front side 1440, which scored 90.50, the second highest scoring jump of all athletes in the qualification phase.
In his second jump, Cox jumped a cab 1260 to score 77.50, giving him a total score of 168 points.
Unfortunately in the final, Cox was unable to replicate his scores from qualifying, finishing in 10th place.
Max Parrot (CAN) wont he event, followed by Sven Thorgren (SWE) and Chris Corning (USA).
Cox will now head to Atlanta, USA, for another big air city event on 20 December.
