Double bronze for Perrine & Geiger in Switzerland
Published Fri 19 Jan 2018
Paralympian Melissa Perrine and guide Christian Geiger have finished the Veysonnaz World Cup off in style with another bronze medal.
The duo collected two bronze medals throughout the fourth World Cup meet, taking it to a total of five medals throughout the World Cup Tour this season.
With just under two months to go until the 2019 Winter Paralympic Games in PyeongChang, Perrine and Geiger continue to position themselves well as genuine medal chances.
Unfavourable conditions hampered competition on day two and three of the World Cup.
In other Aussie results, in the Men’s Slalom Standing, Mitch Gourley narrowly missed a podium finish taking fourth place, with fellow team mate Jonty O’Callaghan finishing 16th.
The World Cup circuit is due to move to Tignes in France originally scheduled to be held 21-26 January. Severe weather conditions have again hampered competition schedules - for all the latest on the competition, including updated schedules and live streaming visit the official website https://www.paralympic.org/alpine-skiing-world-cup-2018
