Badenhorst also finished out 2017 with a silver at the Dew Tour with Ben Tudhope and Sean Pollard both picking up sixth place results throughout the event.
Head Coach Lu Prem, said he has been happy with the team's performance this season.
"Joany, Ben and Simon have all been able to pick up World Cup podium finishes this season with newcomer Sean Pollarad making big progress," said Prem.
"There wer situation s and races that could have been better and some luck could've gone our way, but we always got to see the bigger picture and trust the process.
"The break over Christmas was well needed after a big first race and training stint throughout Europe and America.
"Preparation has been going well with the training camps in Whistler and Big White, with a focus on specific technical training.
"Of course not everything always goes as planned if you keep pushing your limits, you can take a fall. Simone Patmore has suffered a minor injury in the lead up to the World Cup in Big White and as a safety precaution he will be be coming in the upcoming event. He'll be back training straight after the event and should be hungry and revitalized to put the finishing touches on his riding.
"As the team prepares for Korea (Winter Paralympics) they've all been working hard, putting in all the extra one percenters that make a difference when you want to become the best in the world," he said.
