Early next month numerous FIS and National Alpine Technical Delegates as well as alpine race organisers will gather in Melbourne for the Australia/NZ FIS Technical Delegate Update.

Almost a year since the last meeting was held in New Zealand, the one-day gathering aims to update attendees after the FIS Technical Committees came together in late May.

The update on 3 November provides attendees with an opportunity to go through rule changes and updates following the FIS Congress, while also working through practical examples of challenging real-life examples.

The Australia/NZ FIS Technical Delegate Update is open to members from race organising committees around Australia in a bid to upskill and develop key individuals within Australian snowsport.

A Technical Delegate (TD) is the delegate of the FIS to the organising body and is a guarantor for the FIS that the competition is conducted in accordance with the FIS rules.

With a vast amount of knowledge and experience, next month’s Technical Delegate update will be led by regional TD, Peter May.
