Future Paralympians in training

Perisher Ski Resort and Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre will co-host Australia’s most promising Para-snowsport talent across two days as part of the SSA Futures Program.
Together with the Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) and Disabled Wintersport Australia, SSA aims to provide opportunities for potential Para Alpine and Para Snowboard athletes to transfer their talent and develop in the high-performance pathway.
Participants will be exposed to talent identification, technical training and national classification sessions in an elite environment featuring world class coaches including Christian Geiger (Para Alpine) and Craig Branch (Para Performance Manager/Alpine Head Coach).
This weekend, participants will also have the opportunity to hear from PyeongChang Paralympian and gold medallist, Simon Patmore, to share his knowledge and experience.
Off the back of Australia’s successful PyeongChang Paralympic Games, SSA Para Futures provides participants with opportunities to develop both on and off the snow and continue the great international results.
After the weekend, coaches will discuss with participants individual pathway opportunities including international program placements, individual performance plans and guest SSA Para-wintersport program opportunities.
