FUTURES Webinar Series recap

Published Fri 31 Jul 2020

Snow Australia would like to thank all the expert presenters, coaches and athletes that participated in the FUTURES multi-discipline webinar series throughout July.  We would also like to commend all the young athletes that signed up for the webinars, demonstrating their desire to learn and improve on aspects of their development in snowsports.

The webinars featured discussions around the Athlete Pathway, skill development, engaging with National Team coaches, goal setting, social media, nutrition and acrobatics.

FUTURES participants were also lucky to engage in discussions with Olympians Adam Lambert, Britt Cox and Sami Kennedy-Sim who shared some of their experiences and advice for the next generation.

The key take-aways were that there are many aspects of ourselves that we can strive to improve before we click into our skis or strap into our boards.  National Team coaches and athletes challenged FUTURES participants to make the most of this unconventional season by getting stronger at the off-snow aspects of their athletic development.

And when doing so, don’t forget to share your experiences with us using #SnowAust.

If you missed any of the webinars you can access the recordings and accompanying resources on the FUTURES webpage.

FUTURES will now move to a series of discipline specific webinars.  These will be driven by the National Team coaching staff and feature important updates and information relating to each discipline.

The first discipline specific Webinar will be Para-Snowsports on Tuesday 4th August at 6:00pm.  You can register for free with an active Snow ID.

A schedule for all other disciplines will be released shortly on the FUTURES webpage.
