Published Wed 28 Aug 2024

The Hotham Women of Winter Networking evening was held on Monday, August 12, the third and final of the industry careers networking evenings for the 2024 season.

Over 60 guests were in attendance from a diverse range of the snow industry including coaches, APSI instructors, lodge owners, business owners, hospitality, Hotham Ski Lifts, Hotham ARV, clubs and up and coming athletes.

The Hotham event was a great opportunity to connect with new contacts, understand the pathway into leadership roles and listen and ask questions to the inspiring women on the panel.

Snow Australia would like to express a our thanks to the MC of the evening and all of the panel speakers on the night, who included:

  •  Bridie Rawson, Tough Tits Co. Founder (MC)
  • Tina Burford, VP & General Manager of Hotham Ski Lifts
  • Danielle Green, Disabled Winter Sports Australia, lodge manager & former MP
  • Elise Armitage, Interim General Manager Hotham ARV
  • Briony Johnson, Hotham Terrain Parks Supervisor

Thank you all for your inspirational stories on your individual pathway, challenges you have faced in your roles and your advice for those wanting to advance their career in the Snow industry.

The three Women of Winter networking evenings were well received in Jindabyne, Falls Creek and Hotham, hosting over 155 people at the events. Thank you to those who were able to attend these events, we look forward to running more Women of Winter events next year.

Snow Australia would also like to thank Emily Smith from Hotham, Amy Hodge from Falls Creek, Angela Pope and Shea De Lorenzo from APSI for all of their hard work in helping plan these events, without your hard work and organisation these events would not have run!
