Interschools Training Scholarship for Snowboarders

NSW Snowboard, in conjunction with Perisher and SnowSports ACT, would like to offer Interschools Competitors the opportunity to participate in the Perisher Interschools Training Camps in the winter holidays at a subsidised rate.
The main objective of the NSW Snowboard Interschools Training Scholarship is to increase participation of snowboard athletes at the Interschools level and for young athletes to gain the confidence to also compete other snowboard competitions throughout the season.
Perisher are offering a three-day training program that will focus on techniques and skills before the Interschools competitions. More information on the Training program is available from the Perisher website
The Interschools Training Program is valued at $450 for the three-days and includes lunch. NSW Snowboard and SnowSports ACT are offering to subsidise the cost of the program to successful applicants by 50%.
The dates of the program are:
- 26 – 28 June 2017
- 1 – 3 July 2017
- 8 – 10 July 2017
NSW Snowboard and SnowSports ACT is accepting Expressions of Interest to snowboard Interschools athletes who fulfill the following criteria:
- Applicant must be between the age of 7 to 14 and must have participated in Interschools previously
- Applicants may be individuals or as a group school team
- Applicants must not be a recipient of either the 2016 AMASDF scholarship or the 2017 Perisher/Thredbo Interschools Scholarships
- Applicants are not required to be a member of SSA, however must have a current Snow ID
- Applicants are required to list their previous Interschools event participation
- Applicants will be required to outline their anticipated participant in snowboard events for 2017
- Applicants must not be a member of a resort based full time program
- Available spaces will be strictly limited so apply early to avoid disappointment.
