The 3rd Public Forum on the Unification of Snowsports Governance will be held in Jindabyne this Saturday 1st July – 5.00 to 7.00pm at the Jindabyne Central School Gymnasium, located at the corner of Kalkite Street & Clyde Road, Jindabyne.

SSA President – Dean Gosper, NSW Snowsports President – Daniel Bosco, Snowsports ACT President - Damian von Demleux, together with NSW, ACT and SSA Snowsport Board Directors will be in attendance to overview the Unitary Model proposal, and answer all of your questions. All SSA, NSW Snowsports, and Snowsports ACT members are invited to attend.

The first two Public Membership Forums on the Unitary Model of Snowsports Governance, held in Sydney – Thursday 4th May, and Canberra – Monday 8th May, were a great success. Many questions were raised at both forums, and as a result NSW Snowsports and Snowsports ACT have given an undertaking to the collective membership to respond to all questions comprehensively, and continue with an open dialogue with the membership over the coming months. Dean Gosper – President of Ski and Snowboard Australia was in attendance at both forums, and provided an overview of the sports’ current position and a picture of the athlete development potential & financial strength of a unified group. He also articulated the many benefits that would flow from this governance model including pathways for staff in a larger organisation.

It is our collective belief that there would be many opportunities available to the snowsports community through a merged enterprise, and we see one of the key benefits of the unitary model as a way to ensure our relevance and growth into the future.
