Key appointments to SSA Board and Staff

Louise Barrett appointed to SSA Board

The Board of SSA is delighted to welcome Ms Louise Barrett as a Director to fill the casual vacancy following the resignation of Mr Richie Biggins. Louise will hold office for the balance of the term of the vacating Director which, in this case will be through until the AGM in March 2018.

Louise lives in Sydney and currently holds a senior management position with News Corporation. This follows a successful period with the Ten Network. Accordingly, she enjoys extensive experience in the areas of marketing and media both of which are of profound importance to our sport going forward.

Alex Rouse appointed to new Communications role

SSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Rouse to the newly created role of Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator.

Alex will be based in the SSA offices in Melbourne and she comes to the role with significant experience in both communications and the snowsports industry, most recently as Senior Marketing Executive with Mount Hotham Skiing Company.

Alex will be responsible for managing all SSA communications which have expanded in recent times to include a broader participation responsibility through Interschools, Little Shredders and Snowracer. Additionally, the operation of the para winter programs brings another layer of responsibility. Importantly Alex’s role provides an increased capacity for SSA to inform communities about the activities and stories from our diverse sport pathways; From interschools to club programs through to pre-elite and National Team level across all disciplines.
