Lambert leads Ausssie Junior SBX team after successful World Cup debut

Australian Snowboard Cross rider, Adam Lambert, 19, will lead the Australian Team this weekend in the Junior World Snowboard Cross Championships after his awesome World Cup debut performance last week in Germany.

Up against the likes of 2 x World Champion Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin and 2016 Gold X Games medallist Jarryd Hughes who took first and second places, Lambert was the dark horse in this event winning his heat and quarter final, but was just outdone in the small final where he finished 7th overall.

Having won three of the last four Europa Cup races in France and Germany, Lambert is definitely in form and one up and coming athlete to watch.

“It’s a good looking team that should be confident and strong given their recent form heading into the Championships” Jason Clauscen, Junior World Championship Team Coach said of the team.

The Junior World Championships kicks off tomorrow in Klinovec, Czech Republic where Lambert is joined by the talented Emily Boyce, Georgia Baff and Angus Pennington who will also be looking to make their mark.
