SSA's new Alpine Director, Mick Branch, has fully embraced his new role and is out on the road connecting with race clubs at resorts all over Australia.
Branch, who recently spent time with Thredbo Ski Racing Club and Perisher Winter Sports Club, was at Hotham this week visiting with the Mt Hotham Race Squad and National Alpine Ski Team members Louis Muhlen and Greta Small.
Small has been recovering from a second knee surgery and was back on snow this week with Mick to ski by her side in great snow conditions at Hotham.
"Mick has a great coaching background so we connected really well this week." Small said telling us how she's feeling good to be back on snow and that her knee was holding up really well.
"He's doing a great job. It's good to have someone with his experience take a look at our club and comment on what we could be doing better but what we're also doing really well already" said Danny Geiger, Mt Hotham Race Squad Program Director.
Branch now heads to Falls Creek to spend time with the Falls Creek Race Club and to Mt Buller for the Alpine SX ANCs.
