After winning gold on Saturday in their respective para snowboard cross World Championships finals, Ben Tudhope and Amanda Reid have capped their seasons by both claiming bronze medals in dual banked slalom at La Molina, Spain.
For Tudhope, it underlines an impressive campaign where he never finished off the podium at World Cup or World Championships in either snowboard cross or dual banked slalom.
Having achieved his primary goal of winning the snowboard cross World Championship on the weekend, Tudhope was able to relax more in the dual banked slalom and still walk away with a medal.
"I was just enjoying it out there today after the gold in the boardercross, the pressure was off," said Tudhope. "It felt like really spring conditions out here and the course was pretty challenging so I’m just happy I made it down safe and fast enough to get another medal here."
Tudhope beat home France's Mathais Menendez Garcia in the small final to finish third in the LL2 category. Italy's Emanuel Perathoner claimed gold in the big final ahead of USA's Zach Miller.
For Reid, her bronze medal continues a whirlwind entry to winter sports for the para cycling ace who won gold at the Tokyo Paralympic Games and is a multiple World Champion on the velodrome.
"It was a really good ride," said Reid. "I’m really happy with it considering it’s my first World Championships.
"I’m just enjoying the time I’m here with all the other girls - it’s quite fun."
Reid edged out USA's Rebecca Johnson in the small final to finish third in the LL1 catgeory, while Brenna Huckaby Clegg (USA) claimed gold ahead of Cecile Hernandez (France) in the big final.
